tbh I would recommend you watch rwby....the original 3 episode part that was uploaded a couple of weeks ago clearly skipped some stuff that makes you like and relate to certain characters more, i am going to keep watching for now but I feel like we have a dumpster fire going on.

Better to watch the actual american RWBY its dubbed though. The original, they did good pacing

Just at a few weeks ago, they released episode 1-3 first.
So, most of us are just waiting for episode 4 which we haven't seen yet.

Might be limitations of how it's displayed. AnimeKisa where i used to watch had the same problem, everything was 'episode' 1-whatever, so you have the movies with Episode 1. If they could modify the output text per episode or something, then it would work better. But seems unlikely.

Here I thought this was episode 4. False alarm.

So is no one gonna talk about how everyone but the main characters have casual wear on, like seriously there's one dude I saw that looked like he was going to an interview. and not to mention how again everyone else but the main characters had basic weapons likes swords and axes, not a single one even had a gun from what I saw, the people who made those scenes on the airship really decided that it was a good idea to make it look like they just grabbed everyone randomly from off the street. I'm really disappointed. also the animation when Jaune and Pyrrha hit the ground later on is complete trash.

Hey at least they aren't black silhouettes like it was in the main series.

honestly i would have preferred the silhouettes to this, like we have an entire fandom of oc characters to take up spots. and still none of the random people had any weapons that had the ability to mech-shift or whatever its called.

It be jarring to look at in an anime format and what if they never got the rights to the fandom of OCs.

I'm sure that if they asked the fandom for oc characters they would have said yes, and it would have looked fine in my personal opinion, tho i know some oc characters go out there in the design so I'm sure if they asked for those ones they would have also asked if they could tone them down a little bit to make sure they don't interfere with the main characters,

the main character's are team RWBY and team JNPR, so that includes the yellow hair boy who name is Jaune, tho some might argue that team JNPR are supporting characters but I see them personally as also main characters

Hope they give Jaune a bit more heroicism, king like stature. Still think hes the kings descendant, they giving the boy too much build up. Even into Xena the warrior princess, he has to be hercules.

I'm pretty sure he's not the kings descendent he just come from a long line of huntsman, his Grampa fought in the great war and he does indeed have alot of build up here but in the original he would have gone past the build up in the first season which is the first 3 episodes of this new anime. I would tell you but the way you talk about it I'm not sure if you watched the original series so I've limited spoilers.

i don't know what "serious wear" your referring too, all the background characters are wearing sweaters, and jeans, at most they had one guy look like he was going to an interview like i said earlier. I know Jaune is also wearing a sweater and jeans but at least has wearing flashy armor like a huntsman should, and there were a group of three people that might have looked like they knew what they were doing but the problem with them is that they all looked like they were in their late 20's and late 30's.

everyone is actually a teenager. Barely entering Highschool. And armor isn't needed when you have an Aura as basically all hunters do.

barely entering highschool??? what are you talking about everyone except for ruby is at least 17 and, I'm not sure where you live but 17-18 is usually when you graduate from highschool, if anything its barely leaving highschool not entering, and it was just the group of 3 people that looked like they were is there late 20's and 30's. and i know that everyone dosint have to wear amour but you should still wear fitting attire for someone who is supposed to fight monsters. i heard a theory that huntsman wear such dramatic clothing is lure the Grimm to them rather then innocent people, like when a town on the outskirts of a kingdom is being attacked by Grimm.

they aren't close to adulthood yet. the start of the series they are barely even 14 going onto 15 years old. The school ruby was at before was like a middle school. I dont know why you are so stuck on the idea they should wear attire fitting to fight monsters they have semblance and aura its a land of magic and powers. The wear their "Battle set" if it helps with their style of weapon and semblance. I dont wannna do spoilers in case u never watched roosterteeth version of the show.

Ruby is the only one under age yang and the rest are all 17 or 18. And Ruby would have been in junior high probably. Idk what your school systems are like where you come from but 13 to 15 is junior high not middle school.
And FYI I've have watched the original series from rooster teeth... A lot. I've watched the 1st,2nd and 3rd season atleast 10 times total at most 15 or so I really can't Remeber and I've watched the 4th,5th and 6th at least 6 time maybe less maybe more and I've watched the 7th season twice and the 8th once so you don't need to warn me about spoilers. If we are gonna continue this little argument or chat we're having.

It might be years of listening to US Rwby but given what the characters become I feel the voiceovers were not well picked. Maybe it will grow on me. They defo got some big hitters in for the voice overs.

Not much to talk about in the plot just yet (I guess the big events just haven't happened yet in the original) but I'm satisfied with the actions this episode, even if the artwork outside of fighting scenes are a bit...simple. Well, this is SHAFT after all so, yeah.

I admit that I have a fetish of seeing all those girls fighting anything, monsters included, and while it's not the most exciting plot out there I really like how they (and Jeaune) really team works like perfect even only knowing each other for hours, if at all, plus the arguments just before the test. That's always cool to see.

So I heard this re-cap part is cut by half with respect to the original. Let's see what happens next week!

I have to agree with you. As someone who enjoyed the 1st volume of the OG series to the sad downfall of volume 8... This is an interesting turn of events. With Ruby being Yang's younger sister and all.
What I'm most curious about is the crack behind Weiss's neck at the end of this episode. What's with that? Can someone explain?

I was hoping for episode 4, but watching episode 3 again is fine.

Before I watch ep 2 I thought new ep might be interesting but all I could see just recap of last ep 1 , what a waste of spend 23 mins.
